Composite Decking Camden

Camden blocks are bigger than most of Sydney, and the decks follow. We see a lot of larger entertaining areas out that way — wrap-around verandahs, pool surrounds, and decks that connect a main house to a granny flat or a shed across open ground.

What we see on Camden homes

Semi-rural properties change what matters in a board. Decks on acreage sit in full sun with no neighbouring buildings to shade them, often near a pool, and sometimes with stock or dogs running across them. Solid-core boards suit that better than hollow — they're heavier to work with but take more punishment and feel more like timber underfoot on a long span.

Worth knowing before you order

For anything over about 20 square metres, order in one go rather than in stages. Composite colour is consistent within a batch but there can be slight variation between production runs, and on a large deck a second batch can show as a faint band across the boards.

Access is worth thinking about before delivery day on a Camden property. A 5.4m board is a long thing to carry, and if the deck is out the back of a large block the truck may not get close to where the boards need to end up. Tell us when you order and we'll make sure it's dropped somewhere that doesn't mean carrying every board a hundred metres.
